Go-See Film Expo and Indaba
One of the main objectives of this interactive Expo is to provide a direct marketing opportunity for the services, suppliers and hospitality industries to reinforce ties with the production companies and network with potential clients.
Interaction with stakeholders in the industry, as well as educating the general public about the role of the film industry, in relation to the economic benefits of film in region such as job creation, and the spin-offs for tourism and other sectors, is another important aspect to the Expo.
"With the busy season around the corner, the expo is well-positioned to get all the stakeholders under one roof to interact with one another," says Kathy English Brower, organizer of the Go-See Film Expo and director of Film Event Management.
A number of DTI-sponsored international delegates will be attending this year to see South Africa from a production destination viewpoint.
Another important participant at the Go-See Film Expo this year will be NAMA (National Association of Model Agencies), who will be running a casting area for international delegates and production companies.
Robert McClelland, founder of the Go-See Film Expo and 2 Productions Africa, says: "This means that our top South African models will be visiting the floor throughout the expo, bringing with them that extra buzz that the modeling industry creates.
