Commenting on the meeting, Molefe, who comes from a background of content creation and is said to understand the importance and challenges of storytellers and content creators, said, "I welcome this opportunity to meet with key stakeholders - independent producers tell the South African story -and I am committed to meeting monthly with the IPO."
According to IPOco-chairperson Desiree Markgraff, the meeting was positive. "We are committed to building a partnership with the SABC on local content and developing a sustainable production sector that provides stable employment for thousands of people."
"We look forward to building a meaningful and open relationship," concluded Molefe in a press statement.
