“Spoon is a big film in a tiny film's body,” exclaims director, Simon Hansen. “SAE assisted us to break the mould of what to expect on these low budget productions and we were able to partner with SAE as a top-notch solution and elevate our film. We are excited about people seeing what we have done in collaboration with SAE. It would not otherwise have been possible.”
The film, starring Golden Globe-winning actor, Rutger Hauer is currently in postproduction and is set to preview in 2010. The project started in July 2009 and five top audio students from SAE assisted with the edit, synchronisation and final mixing of Spoon.
“We are proud to be involved in such a groundbreaking initiative, once again positioning us as a leading institution for world class creative training,” comments SAE Institute manager, David Maclean. SAE has also assisted with the international short film produced by IMP, Pumzi.
