Tiger Brands in potential offer for AVI
Food giant Tiger Brands confirmed on Monday that it has made further formal communication with the board of consumer products group AVI regarding a potential offer.
The board of AVI and its advisers are considering the terms of the proposal, it said.
AVI confirmed the communication in a separate cautionary.
Both parties cautioned their shareholders to continue to exercise caution when dealing in their securities until such time as a further announcement is made.
