Food glorious food! SARIE launches first app

The SARIE app curates top content from the SARIE food stall, which includes SARIE and the brand spin-off SARIE KOS, and features recipe packs downloadable to your iPad. This includes easy to use step-by-step instructions and video content.

The packs contain 10 recipes each and range from local specialties like bredies and bobotie to recipes for the beginner-baker and SARIE's famous chocolate cakes. For the braai-fans there are mouth-watering side dishes, best recipes for Saturday night get-togethers and winning ideas with roast chicken. The packs also cater for vegetarians, pasta-lovers and those with little time to prepare dinner. New packs will be added monthly and promises great opportunity for clients and advertisers.

Michélle van Breda, SARIE editor, says: "We are thrilled to provide our food-loving audience with curated SA favourites via this app. We envisage happy times in the kitchen with family and friends."

According to SARIE's online editor, Lou-Ann Stone, the magazine's digital growth and expanding online community shows the adaptability of the SARIE audience across all platforms and devices. "Our online recipe section has been one of SARIE.com's top content hubs for a number of years. Now readers and users can also conveniently cook from their iPads in the comfort of their own kitchens."

When downloading the SARIE KOS app, readers will receive two free recipe packs. Available on iTunes here.
