Terry Volkwyn appointed CEO, Primedia Broadcasting
Dan Moyane, Executive Chairman of Primedia Broadcasting, has announced the appointment of Terry Volkwyn, previously Managing Director of 94.7 Highveld Stereo, as Chief Executive Officer, Primedia Broadcasting. In this role, Terry will be managing the day-to-day operation of the three radio stations, 94.7 Highveld Stereo, 702 Talk Radio, and 567 Cape Talk.
Comments Moyane: "Terry's vast experience in radio, including her tenure with 702 Talk Radio and subsequently 94.7 Highveld Stereo, combined with her excellent leadership qualities, make her a powerful choice to take the three radio stations forward. In a business environment demanding efficiency and maximum return on investment, Terry's skills will add value by streamlining the three operations, liberating and leveraging common resources where possible, while retaining each station's separate identity."
At the same time, Moyane announced the appointment of Ravi Naidoo, formerly Programme Manager, to Station Manager at 94.7 Highveld Stereo. The position of Station Manager places the overall operation of the station under the auspices of Ravi.
Commenting on the appointment of Ravi, Terry Volkwyn states: "I have the utmost faith in Ravi. We have worked closely together for three years and I am confident that he will continue to keep the station up where it belongs."
