New CFO at SABC

Minister of communications Dina Pule has appointed Gugu Duda as the CFO of the SABC for a period of five years from 1 March 2012. The appointment follows a recommendation by the SABC.

Gugu Duda

Duda has the relevant qualifications, skills, capabilities and experience required for the position. She has extensive executive, financial and strategic leadership experience. A chartered accountant by training, she was previously chief financial officer for internet and telephone banking at FNB.

She left to join Wipcapital as executive investment manager, before joining AngloGold Ashanti as vice president for strategy and risk integration for continental Africa.

She has a B.Com in accounting from Wits University, an honours degree from UNISA and completed a postgraduate diploma in Financial Management and a certificate in Theory of Accountancy.
