The MTN8 Last Journo competition, which was open to all members of the media, has been won by Nkareng Matshe of The Star. He gets an all-expenses-paid trip to the UK to watch Manchester United play against Manchester City on 23 October 2011 at Old Trafford and the latest IPad2.
Sisa Majola, Nyiko Sithole, Tiya Mabasa, Nkareng Matshe, Jonty Mark, Ofhani Munyai and Neville Khoza.
The other seven journalists who made it to the elimination round were Jonty Mark (The Star), Neville Khoza (Pretoria News), Nyiko Sithole (Munghana Lonene), Beverly Mapahangwa (Metro FM), Sisa Majola (SAPA) and Tiyani Mabasa (Kick Off). They participated in an online football trivia and had to answer 8 random questions (100 unique questions per week).

MTN South Africa's senior sponsorship manager, Desiree Pooe, says, "Members of the media are important stakeholders of the tournament and so we put together a competition that would reward them for their support for the MTN8 and local football in general. The company congratulates Matshe for becoming the first MTN8 Last Journo Standing."
Matshe congratulated his fellow members of the media for taking part in the competition especially those who made it to the elimination round. He highlighted that media needed to see more of such innovative competitions in local football.
