Why children must shape Africa’s digital future

Launched with some 196 pages three years ago, Convergence has shown solid growth in both readership and advertising revenues to grow to a 272 page heavyweight title, excluding supplements. On the back of this growth, Convergence has been appointed the Official Business Publication Partner for Gauteng-online. Published by Connexity Publishing, Convergence will be distributed as a gift to guests at the launch of the Gauteng-online rollout. The banquet has President Thabo Mbeki as its guest speaker and will be attended by South Africa's top fifty non-IT companies and some 2500 senior Government officials, as well as representatives from embassies and foreign trade delegations.
According to Tando Mbikwana, Marketing Project Manager for GautengOnline, Convergence is ideally positioned to reach key decision-makers in both the public and private sector. "With some of the best business and IT writers in the country, the publishing house bears great credibility. It's a strategic business move for us [GautengOnline] and we are looking forward to a great working relationship with the Connexity team," he says.
Convergence is South Africa's only boardroom journal that goes directly to the top ten thousand business and technology decision-makers in the country. Published quarterly with an estimated total readership of about 50 000, Convergence aims to assist South African companies to achieve world-class performance in global marketplaces by presenting the insights and visions of the top international and local entrepreneurs, analysts, researchers and industry experts.
