• IOL: Report on Malema incorrect... The apology... "It has come to our attention that our front-page report on Tuesday headlined Malema takes on Zuma again, was not accurate..." The report was based on a report filed by news agency African Eye News Service (AENS), the editor of which, Sharon Hammond, says the services of the report's supplier, freelancer Matome Sebelemetja, have since been terminated.

• ANCYL: ANC Youth League's statement on the Star Newspaper apology to ANC Youth League President... In its turn, the ANCYL in its response to the apology, "as noted" said apology "yet believes that there is a bigger agenda linked to story" and among other things, is going to "continue with its own independent investigations to find out who exactly created the words they claim ANC Youth League President mentioned in the ANC Youth League regional congress in Mopani." The organisation also takes a swipe at the Daily Sun, which it reckons has "never been a reputable newspaper".

• Mail & Guardian: ANCYL site hacked ahead of Juju radio show... Meanwhile, Mail & Guardian reports that in what may be an early joke for April Fool's Day the ANCYL website www.ancyl.org.za was hacked on Wednesday afternoon just before Jules was due to become radio active, and rogue statement was posted stating that ANCYL president Julius Malema had stepped down.
