Seasoned editors appointed at SABC

Matthews previously held the position of head of TV news at the SABC and moved on to work for Telkom Media. He is an experienced broadcast journalist, having worked for several local and international news networks, including Reuters and the BBC.

Siluma is a seasoned journalist and editor with local and international experience in the media. He was recently the MD of Jacaranda FM and is the chairperson of the National Association of Broadcasters.

According to group executive of News and Current Affairs, Phil Molefe, these key editorial positions are in-line with the strategic objectives of reclaiming SABC's position as the market leader and content provider of choice. He said that the SABC was committed to restore its credibility and to provide quality and compelling programming.
