Entries open for SAB Environmentalist Awards 2010
Entries are now open for the 2010 SAB Environmental Journalists of the Year Awards for work produced between 1 October 2009 and 30 September 2010. Entries close on 11 October at 4pm and the awards take place in Johannesburg on 17 November.
Categories
- print and internet (includes all newspapers, magazines and websites)
- radio and television (includes all broadcast media as well as independent filmmakers and production houses)
- Nick Steele Memorial Award for Environmentalist of the Year
- Magqubu Ntombela and Ian Player Cub Award honours environmental journalists starting out in the field
The first three awards each carry a cash prize of R20 000 and a trophy with merit prizes of R2 500 each. The last has a R7 500 prize and trophy.
Journalists are invited to submit their own work or editors, managers and colleagues may nominate the work of others. Go to www.sabenvironment.co.za to download entry forms.
