Doret Jansen passes on

Doret served on the management committee of the Forum for four years and was Deputy Chairperson for two years. She was re-elected to this position at the Forum's annual general meeting in Johannesburg three weeks ago.

She has won a number of awards for enterprising journalism and was a community leader in her hometown. Doret represented the Forum at the Editor's Forum organised by the Government at Sun City last year.

Doret is survived by her husband, Johan, and her son, Joggie (6).

The funeral service will be held in the Gereformeerde Kerk, Otto Street, Wilkoppies, Klerksdorp on Friday, 11 October, at 14h00.
