Craig Smith on Cannes jury

Award winning Creative Director Craig Smith has been elected as a member of this years' Cannes Direct Marketing jury at the Annual Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival to be held during June this year.

Craig is Creative Director and co-founder of Ideaology Communication and Design, a through-the-line design agency. Craig has practised his creative talents in advertising and more specifically promotional design for over fifteen years. During that time he has won many creative awards, including two Gold Loeries.

This year marks the 50th International Advertising Festival at Cannes. As a member of the Voting Jury in the Direct Marketing category Craig will be instrumental in deciding which work gets to the final voting stages in Cannes. Craig will also sit on the jury as a judge on the panel in Cannes.

"I am extremely proud and privileged to be representing Southern Africa at Cannes.", remarks Craig. "As Creative Director of a successful through-the-line design company, I believe I am well qualified to participate on an international jury panel."

Experienced in all aspects of design, direct marketing, promotional marketing and through-the-line advertising, Craig feels that the South African advertising industry is highly talented and more than able to compete at an international level. "I am committed to upholding the good name South Africa has and to promoting our creative talents internationally. Judging at Cannes promises to be a fantastic opportunity and I am looking forward to gaining as much as I can from the experience."
