Design Hub envisioned for Cape Town

Known as the "Design Hub", it is intended to lower the hurdles and barriers to building new and existing Design businesses. It will form a node where individuals and companies are able to interact and network, acting as a catalyst for business development within the design industry.

The Design Hub will exist in the form of a physical building (similar to that of the BWB) on the outskirts of the Cape Town CBD. It will offer a mix of serviced space in the form of studios, offices and workshops, all at very competitive prices (services such as high internet bandwidth, PABX system, shared reception answered in your company name, shared meeting rooms, cleaning, security, parking and lots more) all professionally maintained and administered.

The Design Hub is aimed at attracting a mix of design-focused businesses including engineering, industrial, digital, fashion, graphic, architectural, photography, advertising, promotion, craft, etc, ranging from the individual to large companies.

To date the Design Hub has attracted tremendous support and response from both national and local government, industry bodies, academic institutions and various design focused companies.
