Just Design, a packaging and brand development agency, has repackaged a range of &Union boutique beers as a tribute to a series of comical and political moments from around the globe in 2010.

'Loin Lager' gives Lady Gaga's meat dress a South African flavour and 'Ashes Ice Beer' takes us back to the volcanic smoke alarm in Iceland that grounded air traffic in the Northern Hemisphere. 'Juju' got his own label, a beer that is somewhat bitter, never sweet and sadly 100% South African.

The gifts aren't just to mark the end of business in 2010 but also allows the agency to have a little bit of creative fun in the process. Making use of news events places a brand in the spotlight, grabbing consumer attention that's already caught. It's a persuasive method but it takes courage, style and wit to achieve.
