This means that entrants can design their dream Vespa at their company end-of-year bash, during Christmas dinner, while lying on the beach in Plettenberg Bay or anywhere far away from the pressures of deadlines and client demands.

The prize remains, of course, an ultra-stylish Vespa LX150 wrapped in the winner's original design.

Entering Art Vespa 2009 is easy:

• Go to http://vespa.co.za/ArtVespa2009
  
• View past winners for some inspiration (and the rules of the competition, just in case)
  
• Select one of the six canvasses waiting for your stroke of genius, and download onto your harddrive
  
• Digitally create your unique Art Vespa design
  
• Convert into a 144 dpi PDF
  
• Give your Art Vespa a name to remember
  
• Submit to before 15 January 2009, with your name, surname, mobile number, agency and your designation

The winning entry and two runners-up, as judged by an international panel from Piaggio in Italy, will be displayed at the Design Indaba in Cape Town, 27 February - 1 March 2009, for all to admire.

Now in its fourth year, the design competition - open to creatives across the country - has attracted increasing numbers of inspired entries, including some from beyond South African borders.
