COMMENTS GERRY HUMAN - CHAIRPERSON

Although we aren't spoilt for choice this month, an enthusiastic jury saw fit to award something in each category. That said, they also thought some second and third placed work was so poor that it didn't even warrant a mention.

MAGAZINE

A campaign of three, which dispels the myth that only white people are responsible for major scientific advances.

NEWSPAPER

A campaign that plays off a uniquely South African way of getting the most out of utilitarian stuff like newspaper, pantyhose and soap.

OUTDOOR

The opposite of what we've come to expect in the poster category - lots of copy and quirky illustration.

RADIO

The fact that the winner was a continuation of the much-loved Raj Brothers campaign didn't influence the judges' decision to award it first place. In fact, it was felt that this made producing fresh work for the campaign even more challenging and therefore worthy of being recognized.

TV

Entertaining and relevant work for a traditionally drab subject: Elections - Great stuff.
