MorrisJones & Co win De Beers account

MorrisJones & Co, led by entrepreneurial leaders Nina Morris and Angel Jones, have won the De Beers advertising account with the project of the World Summit for Sustainable Development as their first assignment.

The announcement comes hot on the heels of MorrisJones & Co gaining their independence from the M&C Saatchi global network. The De Beers business was awarded to MorrisJones & Co after a five way creative pitch and is a particulary prestigious win for the agency.

Comments agency MD, Nina Morris, "We are thrilled that one of the bluest 'blue chips' in South Africa and in the diamond world, has chosen us to advertise their brand in a significant way ahead of the World Summit. It was our creative work that won the pitch for us and we are looking forward to seeing that advertising campaign break in the next few weeks."

Nina Morris and Angel Jones founded the agency in this country in January 2001 and was named Emerging Agency of the Year 2001 during the recent AdFocus (Financial Mail) awards. Current annualised billings for MorrisJones & Co are in the region of R32 million, placing them about 21st in the top 30 ad agency group league table.
