Andrew Gillett, newly appointed MD of Lowe Bull Cape Town

Gillett joined Touchline Media as the advertising director on Men's Health, worked his way up to publisher of Sports Illustrated and was then promoted to Touchline's group publisher responsible for soccer and custom publishing, PR and events, and group business.

“I was very happy in publishing, but I was offered an opportunity I couldn't refuse, at a company I'd loved working for previously,” comments Gillett on his move. He is looking forward to running a business filled with highly talented and creative people, and at the same time, learning from all the challenges of managing a business in these tough economic times.

Matthew Bull, chairman of the Lowe Bull Group, remembers Gillett as an outstanding account director for the agency, back when it was young. “His energy and passion for the business were exceptional then and certainly haven't diminished during his time in a parallel industry,” he says.

“I promised him we'd get him back one day, and that day has come - and I for one am delighted.”
