RIP Ian Snelling
Snelling was an honorary life member of Amasa, with its primary focus on the education of those with an interest in the media, marketing and advertising industry. He was also admitted into the Mpasa Sappi Pica Hall of Fame in 1998.
After retirement, Snelling enjoyed buying and selling first editions of rare books and had reportedly been unwell for quite some time.
So Snelling
Gordon Muller of Muller Media comments that Snelling cast a giant shadow in his day and that the above pic is exactly how they like to remember him:
Anyone who knows Ian will also know he was a massive Arsenal fan; growing up literally in the shadow of Highbury. That picture was taken on 18 November 2017. The day Arsenal beat Spurs 2-0 at home. His last North London Derby win over the old enemy. It was a privilege to be there with him watching the game.
We say goodbye to another bright beacon in media. Ian Snelling, your light will always shine on through your legacy. #RIPIanSnelling pic.twitter.com/DgCwQzC9OL
