Clio Future Gold finalists announced

NEW YORK: The international Clio Awards last week named the 12 talented young finalists from around the world who will compete in the 2007 Future Gold | Young Creatives Program, one of its key initiatives in support of the next generation of advertising creatives.

Now in its fourth year, this global competition calls for the dozen Future Gold finalists under the age of 30 years old to be paired into six teams at the annual international Clio Festival, held 9 - 12 May 2007 in Miami Beach, Florida, and asked to respond within 24 hours to a creative brief.

A group of world-renowned Clio jury members will provide feedback on preliminary presentations before selecting three teams to present their ideas to a representative from Future Gold program sponsor Adobe Systems before an audience of Clio Festival delegates. The winning Future Gold team will be named at the Clio Content & Contact, Print, Interactive, Design, Innovative and Integrated Campaigns Awards Gala on Friday evening, 11 May.

The 12 finalists for the 2007 Future Gold | Young Creatives Program are:

The Future Gold | Young Creatives Program is coordinated by the Clio Awards, in conjunction with Ignacio Oreamuno, director of ihavanidea.

Future Gold is sponsored this year by Adobe Systems, which will provide all software used by the participants in developing their presentations. Getty Images will act image provider, and Apple is a technology sponsor.

Other events planned for the 48th international Clio Awards Festival include the Lifetime Achievement Award dinner honoring Bob Isherwood, worldwide creative director, Saatchi & Saatchi, debut of the “Saatchi & Saatchi Clio Hero Show,” this year staring renowned and controversial photographer Oliviero Toscani, “The Big Ideal” session presented by Steve Hayden, vice chairman of Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, other creative workshops, panels and seminars, two awards galas and screenings of the Clio TV Shortlist.
