Trevallyn Hall appointed morrisjones creative director
Hall has enjoyed a rich and varied career in the industry, which began with him working on accounts such as Coca-Cola, Mercedes Benz, MTN and Liberty Life. He received a Gold and Grand Prix award at the Loeries during his first working year, and has grown from strength to strength ever since, recently working on campaigns such as the popular Cell C “switch to silent” campaign that encouraged cinema goers to switch their phones to silent and consisted of eight ads, two of which were Cannes Finalists, and one of which won a silver at the Young Guns festival in Australia.
“As Creative Director at morrisjones&co, my job will be to create an environment that stimulates our staff, gives them the opportunities they need to be creative and most of all to have loads of fun,” says Hall.
“It also involves a great deal of communication with our clients and understanding their needs, taking briefs and interpreting them in a way that will help our teams produce excellent creative content that is effective and that lives up to morrisjones&co’s impeccable standards.”
Jones founded morrisjones&co six years ago with business partner Nina Morris. During this time, Jones and Morris have grown the agency to the point where their clients include South African brands such as Virgin Mobile, Southern Sun, Wimpy, Debonairs, Foschini, KWV, Hollard, Ster Kinekor and Homecoming Revolution, which was founded by morrisjones&co.
Previous clients include kulula.com and Sun International Dreams.
Says Angel Jones, “It’s a thrill to have Trev on board. He’s a hugely talented player who brings a lot of energy and fun. He gets really stuck into our client’s business and the results are amazing”.
Thus far, Hall has found his experience at morrisjones&co to be extremely rewarding and has enjoyed helping the team attain its maximum potential by guiding their ideas and making them as clear, concise and effective as they can be.
