Creative Circle Awards for January 2007

The Creative Circle Awards results for January 2007 are out and according to chairperson Brett Morris, newspaper and outdoor were strong, with not much separating the winners, but there were rather slim pickings in the other categories, aside from a standout winner in radio.

“It seems I still get some incredulous looks when I explain the new system, so I’ll explain again in the hope that it sticks (nobody reads the damn body copy),” continues Morris.

“In the interests of making sure the best work always gets through, all three places in each category go through to Ad of the Year. This means if a category is weak, you may have some weak ads going through to Ad of the Year. So rather than convict one innocent man, we would happily set 99 criminals free... sort of thing. And unfortunately there a few criminals roaming the streets this month (how apt).”

“Well done to the winners. Watch out for those criminals.”
