    Pendoring entries close 30 June

    There are still several days left for prospective Pendoring awardees to enter. All South African creatives - whether they be marketers, ad agencies, freelance copywriters, design studios or production houses - are invited to enter anything from posters, restaurant menus, full campaigns, websites, radio jingles to exceptional marketing ideas.

    Any material that has been aired or published between 1 July 2005 and 30 June 2006 will be taken into consideration.

    Categories include: radio/jingles; TV/cinema; magazines; newspapers; outdoor; posters; above-/through-the-line campaigns; design; promotions/below-the-line campaigns; students; new media; campaigns; best new pay-off line/expression/concept/headline; best advertisement originally conceptualised and executed in Afrikaans and the new category: Tuisgebak, for the best truly South African ad executed in any of South Africa's official languages and which should reflect the unique nature of South Africa

    Entry fees are R400 per entry, R450 for a campaign and R150 for students.

    Pendoring aims to promote the use of exceptional advertising in Afrikaans. It has been proven that it pays advertisers to address their clients in their mother tongue.

    Entries can be mailed to: Pendoring Reklamewedstryd, Posbus 4586, Randburg, 2125 or can be dropped off at: Pendoring Reklamewedstryd, ATKV building, c/o Dover and Surrey Avenue, Ferndale, Randburg.

    Pendoring is supported this year by its eight founder members - ATKV, Caxton, De Kat, Kopieskrywersforum, kykNET, Media24 (newspapers and magazines), RSG and Rapport - as well as by Absa (main sponsor), Ads24, Distell (Klipdrift), Oracle (main sponsor), Litnet, Kulula.com (senior sponsor), Newsclip, SABC (main sponsor), Sanlam, Swartland Wineries and Vodacom (main sponsor).

    Judging will take place between 21 and 23 July, and the winners will be announced on 1 September at a gala function at VodaWorld in Midrand.
