Saunders is passionate about helping people to use social media to their advantage. He is the CEO of DigitLab, a digital marketing and social media agency and is a keynote speaker and social media coach at TomorrowToday. He believes in the benefits of social media and says it is the best platform for organisations to interact directly with their market. He also believes that online communication is greatly responsible for shaping the business world of tomorrow.

Groundbreaking research into the online world of internet dating and MXit has positioned Thomas as an expert on online behaviour. Since publishing the eBook, The Parents Guide to MXit, he has become a popular speaker on educational technology, having spoken to 250 000 teenagers, teachers, parents and professionals since 2007 on the topics of social networking and technology.
