Vodacom names Khumo Shuenyane as new chair

Vodacom has a self-imposed tenure of 10 years for board members, the mobile operator said.
Shuenyane, who currently serves as the lead independent director, will be appointed as the chairman with effect from 21 July 2027.
Phuthi Mahanyele-Dabengwa, the South African CEO of tech investor Naspers, also retires from the board on 8 October 2026.
Former Airtel Africa PLC CEO Segun Ogunsanya has been appointed as an independent non-executive director with effect from 9 October 2026, Vodacom said.
