Marketing & MediaFrom billboard banner to school bag: Turning waste into opportunity
Go Big Media 12 Oct 2026

Currently available, the menu spans seafood, salads, Asian-inspired street food, Greek mezze, pizza and desserts. The seasonal update reflects the role of menu innovation in keeping multi-vendor food halls relevant to changing consumer tastes and encouraging repeat visits.
The new dishes include tuna ceviche with pineapple and jalapeños from Una Más Taqueria, a yellowtail jalapeño roll from Sushiya and a smoked salmon salad with grapefruit and pomegranate from Nøsh Café.

Other additions include How Bao Now’s Thai-inspired fried line fish bao, Opá! Greek Street Food’s mezze platter, Yard’s Williamsburg pizza with spicy Italian sausage, ricotta and hot honey, and a mango kulfi from Kapoochka.
The menu also features a beef sausage served with grilled corn and onion relish at Carne.
Time Out Market’s multi-kitchen format allows diners to order from different food vendors while sharing a common dining space. Seasonal menu changes give individual kitchens an opportunity to introduce new dishes without requiring a full overhaul of their existing offerings.

For operators, this approach can help maintain variety across the venue while giving returning customers new options to explore. The mix of individual plates and shareable dishes also caters to groups with different tastes and dining preferences.

Russ Meyer, general manager of Time Out Market Cape Town, said the new dishes were developed around fresh, seasonal produce and flavours suited to warmer weather.
The summer menu will remain available until March 2027, alongside the Market’s broader programme of live music and seasonal activities.
The update forms part of the venue’s ongoing food and beverage offering as Cape Town moves into its peak summer tourism and hospitality season.
