The second edition features 67 cards, more than double the 31-card collection released last year. Pick n Pay has also increased the number of cards available after demand brought the previous campaign to an early close.
Phillip Gittins, integrated marketing lead at Pick n Pay, says the campaign builds on the success of last year’s collection.
“The response to last year’s Collectaboks showed us just how much South Africans enjoy the excitement of collecting and swapping cards,” says Gittins. He adds that the inclusion of the Springbok Women gives young fans the opportunity to discover new role models in South African rugby.
The collection includes 32 Springbok men, 18 Springbok Women and 14 rugby legends, among them Jean de Villiers, Duane Vermeulen, Bryan Habana, John Smit and Patrick Lambie.
Special editions include a gold card featuring Springbok captain Siya Kolisi and two limited-edition silver cards celebrating Kolisi and Eben Etzebeth reaching 100 Test caps.
The cards feature action photography, player signatures and updated statistics. For the first time, each player’s high school is also included.
Six ultra-rare holographic cards guarantee a prize, including R250 vouchers redeemable through the Pick n Pay asap! app.
Collectors can track their progress using a checklist in the physical album or a digital album in the Pick n Pay app.
National Swap Days will take place at participating Pick n Pay stores every Saturday during the campaign, from 10am to 12pm. Collectors can trade duplicate cards, while selected stores will offer additional activities and entertainment.
Collectaboks II runs from 19 October to 6 December 2026, or while stocks last.
