Using celebrities to boost your branding? Beware

Rihanna is suing UK retail chain Topshop for US$5m in damages for the unauthorised use of her image on a t-shirt. Even though the case is UK-based, there are lessons for SA retailers, marketers and advertisers.

We're all 'go' for 'green', and in this article, Melissa Baird looks at green branding and 'sustainability' - the SA perspective.

On the acquisitions front, Ascendis Health has added two acquisitions to bring its investment to R1bn.

Finally, on the property front, at the Investment Property Databank conference this week, Bruce McGlogan reckons that sub-Saharan Africa offers enticing real estate opportunities, even with risk mitigation becoming increasingly tricky across multiple jurisdictions.
