Cath is a proud Durbanite and mom, who devotes her time to media consulting and freelance writing. She's a fan of coffee, meandering conversation and intense laughter.
Cath holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications and English. She cut her teeth in the media and communications world through her work with a Further Education and Training organisation and has since devoted her attention to working for a Non-Government organisation, HIV-911. As the IT and New Media Manager for HIV-911, Cath spent a decade heading up their media and communications, managing their information technology systems and expanding the programme's reach through new media channels.
In September 2012, Cath went full-time into freelance copywriting and media consulting. She writes for a number of companies, including digital marketing agencies, non-government organisations, parenting portals and print publications. Her favourite niche area centres on parenting and she writes a weekly column for Parent24. You'll also find her musings in print publications.
Cath also undertakes pro-bono work, providing marketing and communications assistance to a school for the underprivileged, Udobo School (www.udobo.org.za).
