Professor Herman Vermaak named dean at CUT's faculty of engineering and information technology
Professor Herman Vermaak will replace Professor Alfred Ngowi as the dean of the faculty of engineering and information technology at the Central University of Technology (CUT) in the Free State. Ngowi was recently appointed as the deputy vice-chancellor of research, innovation, and engagement.
Vermaak is an engineer, specialising in automation, robotics, and renewable energy. He holds a PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Twente in the Netherlands and is a registered professional engineer and technologist and a qualified artisan.
