CNN promotes Eleni Giokos to anchor and correspondent role

CNN has announced the promotion of Eleni Giokos to the position of anchor and correspondent. Giokos will now be based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates where she will take on additional anchoring responsibilities for the news network.

She will primarily work with Becky Anderson on CNN's flagship Middle East programme, Connect the World, and continue to anchor her show, Connecting Africa, travelling often into and across the continent from the UAE.

Giokos has over 15 years of international reporting experience, particularly in business and joined CNN from Bloomberg TV Africa in 2015.
