Registration for the PALU conference now open
Registration for the Pan African Lawyers Union's eighth Conference and Triennial General Assembly is now open. The conference, which is co-hosted by The Law Society of South Africa, brings lawyers, lawyer associations, law firms, human rights and good governance professionals together from 5-8 July 2017, at the Elangeni/Maharani Hotel in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
The theme for this year's conference is 'the legal profession - recapturing its place in society and 'securing Africa's future through the eradication of corruption - the role and responsibilities of lawyers and lawyer associations'.
Law specialists can register here at a cost of R4,000, while young lawyers with less than five years on the practising roll and/or law students can contact PALU to apply for a reduced registration fee by emailing gro.acirfafosreywal@tairaterces.
