Aspiring hotel manager wins Wimpy Youth Day bursary
In celebration of Youth Day this year, Wimpy gave away a bursary valued at R19,760 to put towards an education trust or to use for current education fees. The lucky winner of the prize is Norman Ndlela, a resident of Buccleuch, Gauteng, who SMSed his name and age to a special line that was set up for the duration of the competition. “I was so happy to be told I had won this prize!" Ndela said when he found out he was the winner. "I'd like to apply for a hospitality course that I am interested in and the bursary will help me to complete the course. Thank you so much to Wimpy as I now have a chance to complete my tertiary education.” Ndela hopes to be a hotel manager once he has finished his course. Nicole Murdoch, the brand manager for Wimpy said, “We are proud to have been able to remind South Africans about the importance of Youth Day and at the same time, enable someone to further their education. We wish Norman all the very best of luck with his studies.”
