J.Crew CEO leaves in midst of turnaround plan
According to a report by Business of Fashion, J.Crew's CEO Jim Brett has decided to leave the company. He will be replaced by a temporary committee of four until a replacement is found.
The decision to leave had been mutual between Brett and the company's board of directors. The committee of four that will replace him is made up of chief operating officer Michael Nicholson, chief experience officer Adam Brotman, chief administrative officer Lynda Markoe and Libby Wadle, president of the Madewell brand.
Brett joined the retailer in July 2017, a time when the company was struggling with debt payments.
