Cabernet teeming with cherries

A mouthful of cherries and prunes, supported by a good tannin structure and a velvety smooth texture, is what you can expect from the new Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 vintage just released by Zonnebloem. Made by Bonny van Niekerk, who heads up the red winemaking team at the Zonnebloem cellars in Stellenbosch, this wine has a moderate alcohol level of 13.23% and owes its smooth mouthfeel and solid structure to the 12 months' contact with French oak. The Zonnebloem Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 retails from R60 at leading wine outlets.
