PnP offers free fruit to young patrons

Supermarket chain Pick n Pay introduced a new initiative aimed at encouraging healthy food choices. As part of the Free Fruit for Kids initiative, more than 200 Pick n Pay stores across the country will offer free fruit to shoppers' children under the age of 12.

Apples and bananas will be available all year, while other seasonal fruit, such as nectarines, dessert peaches and plums will be offered in the summer months.
