Estate was already a winner

In a recent media release, Nederburg stated that the Platter South African Wine Guide five-star rating awarded to the 2007 Ingenuity was the first time the winery had achieved such high honours. While the five-star ranking featured in the 2009 issue of the guide is the first ever for the present winemaking team under Razvan Macici, appointed in 2001, and the first in well over a decade, it is not the first. The last time Nederburg achieved a five-star rating was in 1995.
