Y Academy candidates revealed

YFM last week announced the 11 dynamic young candidates selected from thousands of applicants across the country to attend the Y Academy, starting Monday, 1 October 2007. Explained Kanthan Pillay, YFM's CEO, “The Y Academy is an intensive six-month programme that will drop new recruits into the heart of our operation. They will learn how to produce, to conduct an interview, to write a news bulletin, to feed music into our digital library and catalogue that music, to produce promotional clips, market events, sell advertisements and finally – to get behind the mike and show us what they are made of concluded Pillay.” The 11 candidates are: Thabo Collin Mphuthi, Dumisa Patrick Maduna, Nkosinathi Michael Ndlovu, Tshepo Pule, Thato Verona Moeng, Phila Tyekana, Tumelo Ruele, Kgomotso Taje, Bandile Chumani, Ayanda Faith Zwane and Dipolelo Emily Mokoena.
