Plentify secures oversubscribed series A to scale smart energy technology globally
Plentify has closed an oversubscribed Series A funding round, bringing its total capital raised to nearly $15m, with backing from Secha Capital, Buffet Investments, Endeavor SA’s Harvest Fund, Satgana and others.
Built and proven in South Africa’s load-shedding environment, Plentify uses AI-powered hardware and software to connect and optimise household energy use, allowing appliances to draw power when it is cheapest and cleanest.
Since 2023, deployments have grown, forming a virtual power plant of nearly 100 MWh that has saved 9.9 GWh of electricity and over R40m for households.
