Academy adds specialist subjects for 2011
The Stellenbosch Academy of Design and Photography has extended its 2011 curriculum to meet industry needs with areas of specialisation in art direction, graphic design, illustration and photography. Applications for the 2011 academic year have been extended to 23 December 2010 to allow for students wishing to specialise in art direction and illustration.
The Academy awards in 2010 have included the Sony World Photography Award for Africa/Middle East, Loerie finalists, 2 bronze Loerie awards, Fujifilm Professional student gold award, Sony Prophoto student silver award and the Photo Imaging Education Association student award.
Work has been selected for the Bonani Documentary Photography Festival, Old Mac Daddy Hotel in Elgin, I-Jusi magazine, The Call Sheet, International Summer School of Photography, POMP magazine, Zip Zap Circus and Swallow My Pride at Blank Projects Gallery.
Plans for the future include specialisation in Environmental Design, Product Design and Interior Architecture.
