QS World MBA Tour returns to Johannesburg
The QS World MBA Tour is returning to Johannesburg for its fifth consecutive year; one of 40 countries to be visited. And R16 million of scholarships are to be awarded as prizes only to attendees.
The QS World MBA Tour features a number of influential business schools, such as: Vlerick Leuven Gent, INSEAD, Stellenbosch, WITS, IE Business School, IMD, Cape Town, Edinburgh, London School of Business & Finance and Hult International Business School.
The purpose of the tour is to recruit suitable MBA candidates and the 2009 tour kicks off in New York early March. It will arrive in South Africa on Wednesday April 1, 2009 (4pm to 8pm) at the Sandton Sun Hotel, Johannesburg. The tour will be accompanied by more than 360 of the world's top international business schools.
The Johannesburg fair will provides MBA candidates with the opportunity to meet face-to-face with the admissions officers and alumni of leading business schools as they shortlist the right school for their MBA studies. It will provide full information on full-time, part-time and distance learning MBA programmes, fees, admissions, scholarships, financial aid, the GMAT test and graduate MBA career opportunities.
The R16 million-worth of scholarships are offered by both QS and its partner schools.
The Johannesburg fair will also provide attendees with free seminars and admission panels, allowing candidates to direct questions to a number of experts.
The first 100 candidates to arrive at the Johannesburg fair will receive a complimentary copy of the QS TopMBA Career Guide, a 350-page publication that includes editorial on the MBA industry and a comprehensive directory of the world's top business schools.
