This is the first time that a Leon Schuster film will be screened to international audiences before its commercial release in South Africa. Mama Jack will be presented at the AFM by producer, Anant Singh.
Mama Jack is the story of Jack Theron, who works on a film set, however, his movie director boss hates him.
Producer Anant Singh says: "Mama Jack is Leon's most commercial film to date and we are confident that it will play exceptionally well to mainstream audiences internationally as it is very original and probably Leon's best work to date. Leon and director, Gray Hofmeyr have excelled in this, their fourth film together."
Mama Jack stars Leon Schuster, Alfred Ntombela, Mary-Anne Barlow, Lionel Newton, Shaleen Surtie-Richards. The film is a Videovision Entertainment production in association with Distant Horizon and Delta Films.
