The business face of Africa
Business Day Africa, a weekly Pan-African publication and brand extension of Business Day, will now be available for subscriptions to the South African market.
To give readers a feel for the paper, free copies of Business Day Africa will be inserted inside Business Day for three consecutive Mondays starting this week. The Paper will be available as a standalone title on newsstands from early July.
Since its launch in October 2003, Business Day Africa has been available and well received as in-flight reading on all SAA flights out of Johannesburg International airport, to 21 destinations in Africa. It currently distributes 6000 copies of the 32 page A4 newspaper on Fridays.
It has been so well received, that BDFM has decided to broaden its distribution base to cater for the South African market that includes a large immigrant market, hungry for news from the rest of Africa.
This weekly news digest sources editorial from across the continent, including Francophone Africa, a region generally inaccessible to most English-speaking readers. Focusing particularly on the political economy of the continent, Business Day Africa aims to keep business leaders abreast of political, economic and business developments and initiatives.
Business Day Africa is edited by John Kaninda, a former producer of African Business Tonight, a daily business and financial news bulletin which was broadcast by TV Africa in 40 countries on the continent.
