Top international awards for Alliance Group

INDIA: This week, at the 17th International Asian Brand Summit held in Mumbai, India, Ronen Jackson, marketing director of South Africa's leading asset sales and services company, the Alliance Group, scooped the 2008 Young Marketing Professional of the Year, as well as the Brand Leadership Award.

The conference and Awards Banquet was attended by over 600 delegates and is well known globally as it attracts top marketers from many countries including USA, UK, South Africa, Canada and countries throughout Asia. This marketing competition has been described as the Asian “Oscars of marketing”, from a part of the globe that has in recent years taken the international marketing world by storm.

Jackson (30) was also named South African Emergent Marketer of the year in November 2007 at the Sunday Times Marketing Excellence Awards. Under his marketing leadership he has steered the company to victory of no fewer than 26 international auction marketing awards over the past four years, including being named International ‘Grand Champions' twice.

Jackson has been with Alliance Group for nearly six years and has been an integral part of the young and dynamic team who have changed the perception of auctioneering in South Africa. Said Jackson: “I am fortunate to have an in-house marketing team of 14 strong people, who have been an integral part of not only our award achievements but the group successes too date.”

Previously known Auction Alliance, the group is currently rolling out new services such as corporate recovery and finance. This is in addition to their stable of auctions and valuations.

Richard Gaynor, Global Chairman of The Asia Congress commented: “The Awards for Brand Excellence recognise professionals who have shifted the paradigm of Marketing and Brand Building in their industry and have attained a leadership position through competitive edge and by not compromising on social values and business ethics - and have the sheer determination and belief to be the best.”

According to Gaynor, “The winner had to display creativity, innovation and sound strategy in the achievement of their goals. Traits of entrepreneurship, personal drive, commitment and vision in pursuit of marketing excellence were also taken into consideration.” Alliance CEO, Rael Levitt, believes that these awards “are a great reflection of Ronen, his team and the company's contributions.”
