October conference to address 'Future of Reward'

The South African Reward Association (SARA) will host its annual conference on 24-25 October 2013 at Emperor's Palace, Johannesburg. The theme is 'The Future of Reward', with a focus on the next frontier in reward practices in dealing with the changing reward landscape.

Speakers

Speakers are encouraged to share their views of where the new world of work is moving and the latest thinking in reward, thereby stimulating thinking of how reward practitioners should incorporate this in their reward strategy. These include:

  • Clem Sunter and Sizwe Nxedlana on 'The World and South Africa beyond 2013'
  • Tom McMullen from the Hay Group UK on 'The future of reward'
  • Paolo Cuicci from BATSA on 'Building sustainable reward practices in Africa going forward'
  • David Cichelli on 'Sales Compensation'
  • Panel discussion on 'Talent Management'
  • Reward management areas

SARA was established in 1997 to create a platform for networking and to promote the development of reward. It strives to ensure that its members acquire and develop the skills, confidence and passion required for the discipline. It ensures sound reward management practices and acceptable standards in the following areas:

  • Remuneration (Fixed and Variable)
  • Benefits
  • Work-life
  • Performance & Recognition
  • Other aspects of the Employee Value Proposition

  • In January 2013, the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) officially recognised SARA as a professional body.

The conference is aimed at executives, reward, HR and payroll specialists and practitioners and interested parties should book by 7 September. For more information, go to www.sara.co.za
