Pink Punnet promotion in Pick n Pay stores for Breast Cancer Awareness month

R1 from each pink mushroom punnet sold goes to Reach for Recovery breast cancer support group. The money is used to purchase silicone prostheses for women who have undergone mastectomies and who cannot afford reconstructive surgery.

One of the key findings to date from the Beckman Institute at the City of Hope Cancer Centre in California and the University of Australia in Sydney in collaboration with Zhejiang University in China is that women who eat an average of 1 mushroom (10gm) per day seem to halve their risk of breast cancer.
