Auction house uses gay design for club sale
Auction Alliance used the Green Point night club, Bronx to develop an onsite board campaign highlighting its tenant and the "Pink Rand". Its traditional blue boards have been redesigned, with pink and the usually red Auction Alliance triangle filled with the colours of the gay pride rainbow flag.
The words "Pink Rands welcome" are displayed prominently on the boards.
According to brand manager, Jonathan Kantey, the company is not necessarily focusing on the gay community as ultimate investors but the area houses many well-known facilities which attract the wealthy gay community. "Investors in the area realise this adds to the value of their property. The successful redevelopment of the De Waterkant commercial and residential node is a direct result of their investment in this area."
