Ormerod to drive ComutaNet

Specialist community marketing company ComutaNet has secured the expertise and considerable sales and network experience of Trevor Ormerod, executive chairman, Cinema and Print Division, Primedia, as acting CEO, it was announced on Friday, 25 July 2008.

Following the recent resignation of Pieter Groenewald, who is leaving ComutaNet to pursue other interests, group chairman Kenneth Maomela persuaded Ormerod to become acting CEO on a caretaking basis effective 1 August 2008.

Says Maomela: “Trevor is the ideal candidate to maintain ComutaNet's marketing and sales momentum. He has also agreed to play the lead role in recruiting the new ComutaNet CEO.

“Trevor's experience in troubleshooting and media owner knowledge will ensure that ComutaNet continues to meet client expectations with regard to providing business solutions and meeting the service needs in this tightening economy,” says Maomela.

While caretaking ComutaNet, Ormerod will maintain his responsibilities at Primedia's Cinema and Print Division.
